Waterloo Gardens Bed & Breakfast – Country Inn near Ann Arbor!

Looking for a comfortable Country Inn for a home away from home. Please check out Waterloo Gardens Bed & Breakfast We are located east and west between Ann Arbor and Jackson Michigan and north & south between Manchester and Stockbridge. Great restaurants Common Grill, M-52 Barbacue, Chelsea Grill, Cleary’s Pub, are just a few of the restaurants in our area. Both Ann Arbor and Jackson also offer many fine restaurants.

Waterloo & Pinckney DNR Recreation Parks, and Hudson Mill Metro Park provide lots of outdoor activities year round. There are also many lakes in and around our area for summer and winter activities including fishing, boating, swimning, picnics, volley ball, triathlons, golfing, ice fishing, snow boarding trails, just to name a few.

All of our rooms have pillow top mattresses for your comfort. We encourage our guests to enjoy their stay with us and enjoy the other areas of our house.

Our two dogs are very friendly and will make you feel welcome. Our Golden Retrever, Jessey is 12 going on 13. Our Brittany just turned two and likes to play.

Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 9:30 am. in our dining area. Coffee is available earlier. Our breakfasts include, juice, milk, coffee/tea fruit, yogurt, bacon, sausage, eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, quiche, sweet rolls. We can provide special breakfasts as requested.

Our spa is available year round, bring you swim suits and enjoy.

We can make those special occasions even more special. Let us know if you need something special in the room for your arrival. We can pick up flowers or refreshments to make the night extra special. Full sit down breakfast in the morning. We can also deliver a carafe of coffee at your door in the morning. Give us a call and let us know your desire. No problem to bring in dinner and just relax in peace. We generally join our guests for breakfast. The conversation is usually lively, warm and enjoyable. Drinks and snacks are always available to tide you over until dinner! There are several great dining choices in town and in Ann Arbor. Many people plan dinner at the Common Grill, a four star restaurant.

Things To Do In The Chelsea Area

We have a large scrapbook, full of ideas and here are a few: Take a tour at Jiffy Mix, Visit the Saturday Farmers Market in Chelsea, Visit the Hands On Museum in Ann Arbor or the Art Gallery in town here in Chelsea or Ann Arbor. Go antique shopping in Manchester, Chelsea or Stockbridge, Go hiking and Bog watching in Waterloo Recreation Area, go canoeing on the Raisin or Huron Rivers, go biking in this lovely country setting, go on the Southeast Michigan Wine Tasting Tour, Visit the Deer Museum, go antique shopping in Ann Arbor, Manchester, Stockbridge or Jackson, lots of places to play golf in the area, go fishing or bird watching (sand hill cranes) on one of the many lakes, go fishing at the Trout Farm, pick berries, visit the Discovery Center in Waterloo Recreation Area, go to one of the many Fall festivals in the area. Sit out on the deck or by the fire and just read a book and enjoy the quiet! We also host game and scrapping weekend getaways. Catch a sporting event on the big screen T.V. Go on the Pioneer Wine Trail tasting tour and visit the many local wineries. Tasting is free at these wineries and the wines are supurb! There is also a new restaurant at the Hockey Arena. The Chelsea Grill is another good option for meals. The Common Grill is as popular as ever and always has some new specials. Keep in mind that the Common Grill is closed on Monday’s.

Purple Rose Update:

The Purple Rose Theatre Company presents four shows a year. Performances are at 8:00 p.m.Wed – Sat with matinees on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Call 734-433-7673 to book your tickets and check on availability. These plays are very popular.

Rooms & Rates

Waterloo Gardens Bed and Breakfast is located just two miles north of downtown Chelsea, Michigan. We offer a bedroom and bath combination from $125 and a two-room suite with shared full bath at $175. These prices include taxes and fees. Give us a call and we will mail you a brochure. The two-room suite is perfect for a family with children or four people traveling together.

We have a exercise room in our downstairs, including a treadmill and exercise bike.

A full hot breakfast is also served in the dining room or on the deck (weather permitting). Specialties of the house include Belgian Waffles with Fresh Fruit and Baked Peach French Toast. Let us know if you have dietary restrictions. How about a game of pool in the recreation room?

Enjoy boating, fishing and swimming, at nearby Waterloo Recreation Area and Pinckney Recreation Area. Also close to Michigan International Speedway.

This is a great area for cycling and we have a garage for overnight storage of your bicycle and gear. An air compressor is also available to fill up tires. We suggest a healthy day ride from Ann Arbor and spend the night. Ride home the next day at your leisure.


Cross Waterloo and we are the first house on the left side (7600). Look for our white sign in the front yard and the two coach lamps at the end of the drive.
